Andhra Minister Said - Relatives Can Get Cremated Hours After Death

The Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, who is also the health minister of the state, visited East Godavari district where cases of corona virus are increasing at a sudden and rapid pace. The Health Minister said that a few hours after the death, there will be no virus in the dead bodies and family members or relatives can perform the last rites.

State Health Minister Alla Nani visited Rajahmundry GGH and reviewed the situation there with doctors and district officials on Wednesday.

Later talking to the media, the minister announced the creation of 3 more Kovid-19 hospitals in the district to increase the capacity of beds and number of doctors, while the district already has 6 hospitals. Apart from Kovid hospitals, another Kovid Care Center will be set up for timely treatment.

Refuting the allegations of delay in the result of the test result, the Health Minister clarified that there is no delay in giving the result and all the test results are being done within 24 hours.

The Health Minister also said, ‘Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will soon start screening Kovid for every family across the state.

Rejecting the charge of rapid death toll due to corona by opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu, the Health Minister said that the state government is spending huge amounts of money to prevent corona virus in the most transparent manner and Due to effective steps taken by the state government, the death rate in the state has come down.

He said that a few hours after the death, there would be no virus in the dead bodies and family members or relatives could perform the last rites. The government will cremate those dead if no one comes forward and Rs 15,000 will be given for the last rites.

Health Minister Alla Nani said that strict action will be taken against those who refuse to treat corona patients in government and private hospitals and private hospitals that charge higher fees in the name of corona treatment.

Corona cases in Andhra Pradesh are increasing rapidly and on Wednesday, the maximum number of 10,093 corona cases came in one day, while 65 people died during this period. So far 1,20,390 cases have been reported in the state in which 55,406 people have been discharged and 63,771 active cases. So far 1,213 people have died in the state.
