Actor Ejaz Khan was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday. He was arrested after 8 hours of questioning. Ejaz was in Rajasthan for a few days in connection with the shoot. As soon as he returned to Mumbai, the NCB team took him into custody. At present, a team of NCB took him to his office and questioned him. Ejaz also came into the limelight after a fight with fellow contestants in Bigg Boss-7. They have also been arrested for banned drugs in the year 2018.
NCB sources say that links have been found between Ejaz Khan and the largest syndicate of drugs ie Batata gang in Mumbai. After capturing Ejaz, the NCB team also conducted raids in Andheri and Lokhandwala areas of Mumbai. Shadab Batata, the son of Farooq Batata, Mumbai’s biggest drug supplier, was arrested on Saturday last week before Ijaz. It is believed that Ejaz has been detained after interrogating Shadab.
Ejaz Khan was arrested by the Mumbai Narcotics Cell in 2018. Earlier in the year 2018, he was also arrested by the Narcotics Cell of the Mumbai Police on charges of taking banned drugs. Ejaz had got only 2174 votes, while NOTA had 2791 votes. Ejaz Khan was seeking tickets for the Mumbra Assembly from AIMIM, MIM fielded another candidate by not giving him a ticket.
