Sushant case: Maharashtra government's affidavit in SC to be submitted to Mumbai police

The Supreme Court is going to give a big decision in Sushant case on Thursday. Now it will be clear whether Mumbai Police or CBI will investigate this case. In this case, a written affidavit has been given by the Maharashtra government in the court. All the allegations leveled by Sushant’s father have been termed as baseless and the Mumbai Police has appealed to investigate the matter.

Investigation should be handed over to Mumbai Police- Maharashtra Government

In a written affidavit, the Maharashtra government has expressed displeasure over the fact that the Sushant case is being fiercely politicized and that is the reason for handing it over to the CBI. It has been argued by the state government that all the allegations made by Sushant’s father KK Singh are baseless. He has also called the demand for CBI inquiry unfortunate.

At the same time, citing the law in this case, the government has even said that a single judge bench cannot issue a CBI inquiry order. In such a situation, he has raised the demand to refer the matter to the Mumbai Police. Apart from this, the state government has also called the investigation of Bihar Police motivated by politics. According to him, when pressure was made towards the government in Bihar, the Bihar Police took action.

Bihar police took action under political pressure?

The state government has also cited some such news reports in the court where it is being told that Bihar Police was avoiding registering FIR in Sushant case. But when the state CM and some ministers interfered, the Bihar Police decided to investigate. On the basis of these reports, it is being said that the FIR lodged in Patna was inspired by politics.
