In Kanpur, a case of paying a ransom of Rs 30 lakh to kidnappers has been reported in the presence of policemen on behalf of the family of a lab technician. Now the police has ordered an inquiry into the incident. Kanpur SSP Dinesh Kumar said that I am taking cognizance of the media report in which ransom payment of Rs 30 lakh has been revealed.
He said that I am talking to the victim’s family. Anyone found guilty will be punished. He said that if ransom has been paid then it will be recovered.
According to reports, lab technician S Yadav was kidnapped on 22 June. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh for his release. An FIR was registered in Barra Police Station regarding this.
What is the charge of the family
S Yadav’s family alleges that they were successful in arranging Rs 30 lakh on the request of the police. He threw money on the railway track on Monday. The kidnappers had taken this money but did not release S. Yadav. According to the report, during this time there was no action from the police either.
S Yadav’s family reached the SSP office on Tuesday. Superintendent of Police (South) Aparna Gupta said that the allegations made by S Yadav’s family are not true and efforts are being made to extricate them.
Politics also started on this issue. SP President Akhilesh Yadav attacked the BJP. Akhilesh Yadav asked who is giving protection to those criminals who are not afraid of the police and ran away with ransom money. It seems that the morality of the BJP government has also been hijacked.
