Political armament continues in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has called a cabinet meeting again. The Governor’s decision will be discussed in this meeting. Earlier, there was a cabinet meeting on Tuesday at the residence of CM Gehlot, in which the Governor’s objections were discussed for calling a special session of the assembly.
In this meeting, Gehlot’s team drafted their reply and sent a letter to the Governor requesting him for the third time to call a special session on 31 July. However, Governor Kalraj Mishra sent the file to call the assembly session from July 31 once again back to the Rajasthan government.
On this, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that for the third time the Governor has sent a love letter. Now I’m going to have tea with them, what’s the matter? Please tell that Governor Kalraj Mishra has returned the file of the state government proposing the demand for special assembly session twice.
Earlier on Monday, the governor rejected Gehlot government’s demand to call a special assembly session and said that the government would have to give 21 days notice to call the session.
On this, Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khariwas said that we have a legal right to call the session. The governor cannot question it, yet we are answering his questions. As far as 21 days notice is concerned, 10 days have already passed, yet the Governor has not issued any date.
