Tight security arrangements have been made on 15 August, that is, Independence Day. The Red Fort of Delhi has been converted into an impregnable fort. Tomorrow i.e. on August 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will wave the tricolor from the ramparts of the Red Fort. Due to the Corona crisis, special changes have been made in the event this time and social distancing will be followed.
A security ring has been built around the Red Fort, in which NSG snipers, elite swat commandos and a team of kite catchers have been deployed. With this, more than 300 cameras have been installed, their footage is being monitored every second. Apart from this, about 4 thousand security personnel have been deployed, who are following social distancing.
Old Delhi and New Delhi railway stations are also near the Red Fort, whose security has also been increased. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Railways) Harendra Kumar Singh said that security personnel have been deployed on the track along with the railway station. On the morning of 15 August, from 6.45 to 8.45, the movement on the track passing by the Red Fort will stop.
Earlier, full dress rehearsal of 74th Independence Day celebrations has been done at Red Fort on Thursday. Army, Air Force and Navy soldiers marched. Tight security arrangements were also made during the rehearsal. The roads around the Red Fort were closed. On August 15, the roads around the Red Fort will remain closed.
The eyes of the security forces are also on the sky, so that no one can do kite flying near the Red Fort. Apart from this, campaigns are also being run by the police. The hotel is being searched and raids are being conducted in search of suspicious people. Advisory has also been issued by Delhi Traffic Police.
