The second phase of serological survey in the national capital Delhi has started from 1 August. A target has been set to take 15 thousand samples from all 11 districts of Delhi. Random samples are being collected with the help of the medical team. This survey will include only those people who have not done any investigation of corona before or in which no symptoms of corona have ever been detected. Its results are expected to be reached by August 15, which will be able to know how many people have been infected with Corona so far in Delhi.
Earlier, it was revealed from a serological survey that 23.48 per cent of Delhi’s people have been cured of corona till now. In this survey conducted by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Delhi government, antibodies were found in 23.48 percent people. A total of 21387 samples were taken in the sero survey which ran from 27 June to 10 July.

More samples in the age group of 18 to 49 will be taken
In-charge of the medical team, Dr. Kusum Arora said that 25 percent of people under the age of 18 will be sampled for sero survey in entire Delhi. Along with this, 25 percent samples of people over 50 years of age will also be taken. The maximum 50 per cent sample will go to people in the age group of 18 to 49.
He said that blood samples of people will be sent to the lab and examined. This test will be done with antibody kit. Antibody kits are being used to find out how many people have had a Kovid infection and are cured. According to sources, this time the result of the sero survey will not take much time. A few days after the sample is collected, the assessment will be done and the report will also be released.
